I'm an artisan and fine artist based in Melbourne.

My relationship with leadlighting began 25 years ago, initially creating custom pieces for fine art exhibitions. My broader career has always been rooted in making, building, and spatial design—spanning years in the television industry working in set construction, prop making, and set dressing, alongside maintaining a dedicated practice in sculpture, oil painting, and charcoal drawing.

Between 2021 and 2024, I refined my technical trade skills working full-time at a reputable Melbourne leadlight studio, focusing heavily on historical restoration and traditional techniques. I opened my own space as a combined plant shop and glass studio, but the demand for leadlight quickly took over. Today, Studio Chichi operates entirely as a dedicated leadlight workshop and studio—though the space remains filled to the ceiling with the plants that inspired its beginnings.
